A general-purpose input/output (GPIO) is a software-controllable, uncommitted digital signal pin on an integrated circuit or electronic circuit board that can be used as an input, output, or both.
You can use GPIO Zero to generate objects that represent GPIO devices. You can install GPIO Zero on a PC and build objects that reference GPIO pins on a Raspberry Pi through the network, in addition to running it on a Raspberry Pi.
RPi or raspberry-gpio-python GPIO is a Python package that allows you to manipulate the Raspberry Pi's GPIO interface.
Incoming and outgoing digital signals are handled via a GPIO (general-purpose input/output) port. It can be used as an input port to convey the ON/OFF signals from switches or the digital readings from sensors to the CPU.
