Revision tags are a way to add notes or comments to your model. These tags provide information such as who modified the object or what changes were made. The tool is beneficial because it allows people to share their knowledge on how an object was designed and how it should be used.

In Autodesk Inventor, "Welding Details" is a parameter that can be used to specify how much the welder should smooth an edge. "Surface Finish" is the general term used to describe how shiny or matte the surface of the parts are.

Autodesk Inventor is a 3D CAD software that has been used for decades for engineering design. The purpose of a revision tag is to indicate that the model has been modified and includes information about when, by whom, and how the changes were made.
