Split face is a term used to describe the process of creating faces on a surface. In Autodesk Inventor, it is used primarily to design components that have multiple views of a surface and/or holes in an object.

Split Face is a technique in Autodesk Inventor software that allows an extra vertical cut to be made on the face of a model which increases the available area for an insert. This technique can be used in many different modeling situations including milling, turning and 3D printing.

Autodesk Inventor is a 3D design software used for mechanical engineering, architecture, product design and more. Direct Face allows users to attach a face that can be seen from all angles of the model. This software has also been equipped with many other capabilities such as surface modeling, interactive solids and surfaces, direct modeling and more.

Direct Face is an interface that allows users to draw, edit, and navigate within their designs using gestures. Users can also use Direct Face to create a new design from scratch without having any knowledge of CAD software.

The purpose of Split Face in Autodesk Inventor is to create complex shapes that are not possible with the regular tools. The tool allows for easy creation of multiple faces on a single part, which can be used for different purposes.
