In visual media such as video, cinema, and photography, the Three Point Lighting Technique is a conventional procedure. The main light, fill light, and back light are the three lights used in this technique.
The three main categories of lights are ambient, point, and directional.
Maya creates directed light during the render so that your objects can be visible if you preview render a scene without a light. Your items would not be lighted without it, resulting in a black render. The produced camera is parented to this default light.
In Maya, there are a few different ways to turn lights on and off. The first method is to use the Channel Box, and the second is to use the Attribute Editor's Illuminates by Default checkbox.
