Any light that a photographer or filmmaker did not bring to the shoot is referred to as ambient light. Any light that you haven't set up yourself is known as available light. Natural light or even pre-existing lighting in and around the site where you're shooting are examples of this.

  • Ambient lighting.
  • Task lighting.
  • Accent lighting.
  • Decorative lighting.

If a rectangle projected light in one direction, that's what area lights are like. This can be utilised in the same manner as point lights can be used for more realistic interior or street illumination. Go to GameObject > Light > Area Light to add an area light.
