• arnold lights intro

Select the type of light you wish to make from the Create > Lights menu. The light is added to the scene's center by default. To use the Light Editor, first open it and then click any of the light icons. In the Light Editor, see Create and group lights. On the Rendering shelf, click the light icon.

Select a light from the Create > Lights menu and edit properties like intensity and colour in the Attribute Editor to add it to your scene. Alternatively, you may use the Light Editor to generate lights and then alter and position them within the editor.

3-point lighting is the typical method of setting up lighting in film, computer animation, and other visual arts. It is made up of three lights that come from three different directions: key light, fill light, and rim light.

The use of a point light is ineffective. Arnold simply creates a black screen.
