Introduction to Structures

A structure is a grouping and organisation of interconnected elements in a material thing or system, or the object or system as a whole.

  • Hierarchical org structure.
  • Functional org structure.
  • Horizontal or flat org structure.
  • Divisional org structure.
  • Matrix org structure.
  • Team-based org structure.
  • Network org structure.

In C, a nested structure is a structure within a structure. As we define structure members inside a structure, one structure can be declared inside another structure. To access the data, the structure variables might be either conventional structure variables or pointer variables.

The major goal of such a structure is to assist the organisation in achieving its objectives. It brings members of the organisation together and divides their responsibilities. Second, the structure aids in the smooth and effective operation of the system.

A created object, such as a building. A constructed building or a precise arrangement of items or people, especially things with several sections, is referred to as a structure. A newly constructed home is an example of structure. The arrangement of DNA components is an example of structure.
