FAQs

The most common varieties. The four basic arithmetic type specifiers char, int, float, and double, as well as the modifiers signed, unsigned, short, and long, are all available in the C language. It's a number type. The type itself can be signed or unsigned. It has CHAR BIT bits in it.

Common data types include:

  • Integer.
  • Floating-point number.
  • Character.
  • String.
  • Boolean.

The long data type stores integers like int , but gives a wider range of values at the cost of taking more memory. Long stores at least 32 bits, giving it a range of -2,147,483,648 to 2,147,483,647. Alternatively, use unsigned long for a range of 0 to 4,294,967,295.

Primary Constants are the fundamental constants in C, while Secondary Constants are the constants that are constructed using Primary Constants. Constants in Integers: Numeric integer constants include numbers such as 2, 5, 245, -540, 0, -3, and so on.
