Json in Android

JSON in Android

In today's video our topic is JSON in Android.

In our application to use web service we use JSON. JSON is better than XML if we compare them both.

JSON stands for Javascript Object Notation. It is very light weighted, structured, easy to parse and much human readable.

JSON is best alternative to XML when your Android app needs to interchange data with your server.

'[' is JSONArray which is collection of objects usually represented by square brackets. While '{' is JSONObject which is collection of objects or JSONArrays. It is usually represented by curly brackets.

Key/Value pairs is separated by colons (:).
