Hello Friends, welcome to LearnVern.
So, I have prepared a presentation on the interview questions related to the Social Media Marketing course which we have just completed.
What all kinds of interview questions can be asked by the interviewer, let us try to understand that.
The very first and the most important question is :
“How is inventory in digital media sold?”
Now where does this question come from?
Traditionally, media is sold in a very different manner.
Like, in newspapers, media is sold in the form of half page, full page.
But in digital, media is sold on impressions and clicks. And on CPM and CPC.
Since you have completed this course, by now you must have known what CPM and CPC stands for.
But if you still don't know what CPM and CPC are then consider this as your homework.
So please go back and check out what they stand for and what exactly they mean.
Then next question is:
“What are some of the latest features launched on Instagram?”
Here I have just taken an example of Instagram, but an interviewer can ask you questions related to any of the social media platforms.
One thing that you must understand thoroughly is that Social media is a very dynamic platform, a very dynamic field where new features get launched every now and then.
So an interviewer can ask you the questions related to the new innovations on any of the social media platforms, about the new updates.
Like if you check on my screen, I have mentioned about the latest feature of Instagram that has got released recently and that is “Take a break”.
Which means that if you are scrolling your news feed for a pretty long time, then Instagram will remind you to take a break for a while and continue with other work.
So in this way an interviewer can question you on any of the latest innovation or latest feature of social media.
The third and the most important question is on “Statistics “:
Right?
An interviewer can throw a statistic based question to you like “How many people from India are present on the social media channels?”
To answer this question you must have the latest reports, latest data.
Like this data that I had fetched in 2021 while I was recording this course for you.
This data I had pulled out from an “India Today” article which said that:
There are around 51 crore users on Whatsapp.
There are around 41.8 crore users on Youtube.
41 crore users on Facebook.
And on Instagram there are around 21 crore users.
This has been fetched from official government data.
So this official government data was published in an article on “India Today”.
I had pulled out this data from there.
So whenever you are scheduled to attend an interview, please check out for the latest statistics and figures. You are expected to know this. Hence spend some time to research and to identify these latest statistics. Thereby you will get to know how many active people, active users are available on different social media platforms.
Now, the interviewer can also ask you some technical questions too.
One of the very important technical question that’s usually asked is :
“What is the difference between a page, profile and a group?”
And one more question that gets linked with this question is :
“Whether a profile is public or private; whether a page is public or private; or whether a group is public or private?”
I have not shared the answers to these questions. If you refer to your previous units then you will definitely find the answers to these questions. And even if you aren't able to locate the answer, then consider this as your homework and try to identify the answers to these questions.
So the main question here was, the difference between the profile, a page and a group.
In what situations am I supposed to create a group, when should I create a profile, when should I need to create a page. I must definitely have an answer to all of these questions.
And the next question is about the pages.
How many types of pages exist?
Facebook pages are of 6 types.
They can be classified in 6 categories.
So which are those 6 categories, can definitely be one of the questions the interviewer may ask.
Now there can also be questions like:
“What all can be measured in social media?”
Right?
Here, you can have 1 more question like:
What cannot be measured in social media?
Trust me, to answer what all cannot be measured is more difficult than to answer what all can be measured.
We have already covered what all can be measured in our 6th chapter.
We had covered this in detail. We had learnt about reach, then metrics like “likes”, “comments”, “Engagements”
All of these can be measured in social media.
Then this 8th question and the 9th question are a little technical.
What is a facebook pixel?
What are custom audiences?
How do these “custom audiences” work?
These questions can also be asked by an interviewer.
Then,
What is the maximum duration of a “Skippable ads”
What is the maximum duration of “Non-skippable ads”?
These are also among the technical questions that an interviewer may ask you in an interview. Thus you must know the answer to all these questions for sure.
Next is,
What is the difference between “Bumper Ads” and “Non Skippable ads”
If you recall, we had covered this in our youtube session.
And one thing that is growing fast these days is “LinkedIn Creator Mode”.
So,
What is “Linkedin creator mode”?
How does it work?
You are expected to know this.
And the last question I have here is on “LinkedIn Ads”:
While we were learning about “LinkedIn Dashboard”, we had learnt in detail the reason why LinkedIn ads are more powerful and more effective than “instagram” or “youtube” or “facebook ads”.
And what kind of powerful targeting do these Linkedin ads offer?
So you must know the metrics of “Linkedin ads”
Thereby, you can confidently answer your interviewer the reasons and the features that make Linkedin ads a very powerful advertising platform.
In case you have any queries related to these interview questions, you may please write to us on forums.learnvern.com. Thank you!
