Hello Friends, welcome to Learnvern.
In the last session we saw what is a Linkedin profile, the features of a LinkedIn profile, how to create a LinkedIn profile.
We also saw what a status message is, how to post it and many more such different features that work as an advantage to take your profile to a new level.
After personal profile, let us talk about business profile. You are a big company, an organisation, or you are a small company or a start up and you wish to create a business profile on LinkedIn. This is how a business profile or a business page looks like.
As you can see, here I have used an example of TCS. TCS is one of the biggest and one of the famous IT companies of the world. TCS stands for Tata consultancy services.
Over 5 Lakh employees of TCS are present on LinkedIn with 150 plus nationalities and they are spread around 46 countries of the world.
As you scroll a little downwards, you get to see About, post, jobs. We will see this Live as well but as of now I just want to show you, how a linkedin business page looks like.
I have brought one more page for you and it is of Google. I don't think Google needs any introduction. This is how Google's page looks like on LinkedIn.
Now let me show this to you Live, how exactly do these brands update their page?
What do they publish on their page? This is also very important for us to know.
Let me first show you what brands post. You have created a business page but it is very important to post on it regularly, to add some content on it regularly.
I would like to show this to you with the example of Adobe. Can you tell me the name of the famous software of Adobe?
You have 5 seconds to give this answer - the most important and famous software of Adobe.
5….4…3…2…1
The most widely used design software of Adobe is Adobe Photoshop.
So Adobe schedules an annual conference called Adobe Max. They had posted a video of it recently which I found very interesting and hence I wish to share it with you all.
So friends, let us see what video Adobe Max published on their LinkedIn page.
PAUSE………………………………………………….of 1 Minute
So friends, how did you like this video?
I am sure you would have liked this video.
All the softwares of Adobe are very creative and thus by making use of these softwares you can make creative solutions. Infact media or agencies make use of Photoshop widely.
The social media designs are created on Adobe Photoshop and the videos that we create are using After Effects and Premiere Pro.
So Adobe offers us with so many innovative products as we just saw. They publish these innovations and features on their business page. So if your business has such similar innovations or if you are doing something new or different then you should definitely publish them on your linkedin business profile or the business page.
Now let us understand what you should publish on your profile on social channels, on your Linkedin channel by which you can engage the users.
First and foremost, as I always mention, for all the social media platforms that you should add and update all your company information like the website, the brand logo, the description. All these should be updated 100%. IF you do not do so then you will miss out on SEO, people won't be able to search for your business.
So, it is very important that you ensure to fill in and update all the information as much as Linkedin has provided the space for.
Second important thing, post relevant updates daily, engage with your target audience, publish company related news, achievements, milestones or any new product features - you must share with them. If you have received any new certifications, or some achievements then you should share them with your followers as well.
You should keep on upgrading visuals - you should upgrade the visuals at regular intervals, update and rotate your cover image every 15 days or 30 days. Upload new cover images too. This is very imperative for a good user experience.
Then to engage with the target audience, this is very important. Also it is important to initiate a conversation with them and to interact with them from time to time. Post questions on the comments sections or seek information to check if the audience likes your post or not. What are their preferences, what would they like to have as a next post. Which information do they like to follow the most on your page?
You can create a showcase page.
What is a showcase page?
Showcase page is basically used to develop a particular unit, to spotlight it. So if your business is big or even if it is a mid sized business and if you wish to highlight a new unit or a new entity then you can make use of a showcase page too.
If you have any queries or comments, click the discussion button below the video and post there. This way, you will be able to connect to fellow learners and discuss the course. Also, Our Team will try to solve your query.
That is all for this session
In the next unit we are going to start with a new module where we will learn about creative writing. Creative writing is used in social media and many other places too. We will also see the difference between creative writing and content writing.
That is all for today. Thank you!
