FAQs

GST (Goods and Services Tax) is a new tax system that was introduced in India. The GST is applicable only on the goods and services that are imported into India. The GST will be paid on the import of physical commodities, other than food and beverages and it will be levied at the rate of 18%. GST returns are a document that will contain all the details of your sales, purchases, tax collected on sales (output tax), and tax paid on purchases (input tax). Once you file GST returns, you will need to pay the resulting tax liability (money that you owe the government) This is an attempt to write a tax return without using a word processor. GST returns are the documents that contain all the details of your sales, purchases, tax collected on sales (output tax), and tax paid on purchases (input tax).

Most consumers are already familiar with GST. But if you want to understand GST in a more comprehensive way, then you will need to know about the various reports that a state collects on a monthly basis. These reports include the Goods and Services Tax (GST), Excise tax, Service tax and Capital Gains Tax (CGT). The one report that is most important for businesses is the Goods and Services Tax (GST) report. This is because it tells you how much VAT is being collected from your business every month by the state government - required by India’s indirect tax regime.
