A string function accepts a string value as an input and returns a string value regardless of the data type. There are numerous built-in string functions in SQL Server that developers can use.

String data types are used in SQL to store any form of data in tables. We have the option of allowing customers to store either a fixed number of characters or vast length data in string data types, depending on their needs.
