The function DENSE RANK returns the rank of a row in an ordered collection of rows as a NUMBER. The ranks are in ascending order, starting with 1. The number of unique values returned by the query is the highest rank value.
Because they encapsulate the table's name, views are utilised for security. Data is kept in a virtual table rather than being saved permanently. Views show only the info that you want to see. In order to derive the data for the view, we may also use Sql Joins in the Select statement.
With no gaps in the ranking data, this method delivers the rank of each row within a result set division.
There are two ways to calculate the density of a cumulative distribution:
Using its marginal density, which is positive in the range 0< X< c and negative in the range c< X< ∞
Using its cumulative density function, which is equal to one minus the derivative of its marginal density with respect to x.
A density can be calculated by taking the total number of items and dividing it by the total volume. A cumulative distribution can be calculated by taking the number of items that fall into any given interval and dividing it by the length of that interval.
The difference between these two statistics lies in their calculation methods. A density is calculated by multiplying all items together, while a cumulative distribution is calculated using only one item at a time.
