Connect to a SQL Server Database Engine instance or localhost.
Expand Databases, right-click a database (in this case, test), point to Tasks, and select Import Flat File from the drop-down menu above Import Data.
To load and connect different files in SQL, you must first create a file that contains the data. For example, if you have a file with comma-separated values (CSV) data, you would use the CREATE TABLE statement to create a table that has fields for each column of the CSV file. To connect different files in SQL, you would use the LOAD DATA statement to insert rows into your table or SELECT statement to retrieve rows from your table and load them into another file.
There are many different types of files that can be loaded into SQL, but the most common file types are text files (such as .txt) and Excel spreadsheets (.xlsx).
Other file types that can be loaded into SQL include:
CSV files (.csv)
XML files (.xml)
JSON files (.json)
There are five different ways to connect a file with SQL:
Using SELECT INTO statement (declarative)
Using sp_OACreate or sp_OADBulkCopy (procedural)
Using T-SQL commands (declarative)
Using ODBC commands (procedural)
Using ODBC drivers (procedural)
