Greetings are one of the most important aspects in conversing with a customer. A general greeting is usually a smiley face, followed by a question. For example, "How can I help you today?" or "Hi there! How are you doing today?"

Small talk is often a lost art in today's age of technology. As we rely more on digital communication, small talk has become an unwelcome necessity. However, it's not as difficult as it seems and you can improve your small talk game with just a few tricks.

Ask a question in response to a simple "hi." "How are you doing?" is a common approach to react and continue the conversation. To acknowledge the person, you could wish to add a simple "hi" to your response, such as "Hi there!" "How are you doing?" or "Hey, dude."
