Source transformation is a method of converting one source into another while keeping the original source's terminal properties. The principle of equivalency underpins source transformation. The terminal properties of an equivalent circuit are the same as those of the original circuit.
To make the given electrical circuit appropriate for current-to-voltage source transformation, the current source inside the network is shifted. In other words, I-shift enables us to obtain a current source in parallel with a branch that has an impedance.
For circuit simplification, source transformation methods are employed to convert independent current sources into independent voltage sources and vice versa. We may use these modifications to use simple voltage and current divider techniques to analyze the circuits.
