Naive Because it presupposes class conditional independence, Bayes classification is referred to as naive. The effect of an attribute value on a specific class is independent of the other attributes' values. This assumption is made to save computational costs and is thus taken into account. 

Naive Bayes is a machine learning model that is used for big volumes of data; even if you are working with data that contains millions of records, Naive Bayes is the preferred strategy. It performs exceptionally well in NLP tasks such as sentiment analysis.
