A canvas is an area of the web page that can be drawn on using JavaScript. It can be used to create animations, games, or any other interactive content. It’s one of the most powerful features of HTML5 and it’s supported by all major modern browsers.
Because over 90% of websites have migrated to HTML5, the HTML5 canvas has the potential to become a web standard, with extensive browser and platform support in addition to widespread webpage support.
The element is an HTML element for drawing graphics, on the fly, via scripting (usually JavaScript). It is often used to create graphics that can be embedded in a web page or uploaded to a server. The element is not supported in some browsers.
All major browsers support HTML5 Canvas, which can be accessed from PCs, tablets, and smartphones. Once generated, a canvas application may run practically anywhere (unlike Flash and Silverlight).
