FAQs

Columns are a structural element that can be used to create a grid-like layout. They can also be used to divide large blocks of content into smaller sections.

Different types of columns:

  • Horizontal: This type of column is created by setting the width property on an element to 100%. It creates a column in the same direction as the page's flow.
  • Vertical: This type of column is created by setting the height property on an element to 100%. It creates a column in the opposite direction as the page's flow.
  • Stacked: This type of column is created by setting both the width and height properties on an element to 100%. It creates columns that stack vertically and horizontally with each other.

A column is a unit of content in CSS. It is a block of content that can be positioned horizontally or vertically.

CSS has a box-model that allows us to set margins, borders, padding and content inside the columns. We can also use these properties in order to make our columns flexible and responsive.

CSS has many columns that can be created. These include the following:

  • Columns with only text
  • Columns with images and text
  • Columns with images and captions
  • Columns with videos or image slideshows
  • Columns with lists of items
  • Sidebars that are created within a column
  • Single-column layouts
  • Multi-column layouts
  • The sidebar column is also a column in itself, which can have multiple types of content
