COURSE SUMMARY

Ux a course study

Well congratulations if made it if made this far if completed understanding all the different elements of ux I'm very proud of you.

Now that we have done with the course Let's actually rewind once shall we..??

So what are the different topics that we have understood. The entire course was divided into understanding number one the business number two the user and number three creating a successful navigation flow.

 Under the business we have understood the goals, needs and aspirations of the business.

We have understood about the products and the services that businesses have to offer. We have done SWOT ANALYSIS strength weakness and opportunities threat management analysis we have also done a number types of competitive analysis.

Under the user we have understood who the user is?

We have understood why that particular demography fits the right profile for the brand And the product that the brand is selling

We have done primary research and secondary research. We have understood the importance of primary research and secondary research When we are looking at the lot of different data which has come from primary and secondary research it is important to bring the common data together and create personas

So we have created personas

Now this part is really really important for UX designers and UX researchers of course.

So we created UX personas based on common inspirations, calls, frustrations and needs of the user.

We have given them  specific names…. We have also looked at user journey correspondence to that particular persona and lastly for each persona we have created one problem statement. The problem statement spoke about who, what, when, where and why.

The problem statement actually gave way to the main set of future and needs that comes out from each persona Each problem statement actually tells you a specific need and in order to answer to that specific need we have created a particular feature Lastly the navigation.In the navigation we have understood what  information hierarchy is and the importance of navigation flow.

We have understood that at the last step a UX det needs to create a proper navigation flow which actually helps the user to interact with the right button to make the right choices and it also helps the development team to understand the transition from one page to another

Next, well are you ready for the industry.?

Now that's a question that I need to ask you right..?

Some approaches in the industry depending on the way you are working might be different, not all approaches will be exactly similar right. Now depending on where you are working you might get slightly different briefs

The first one you as an UX researcher may or may not get a chance to work on processes that have been explained some of the processes for example let's say competitive analysis might be handed down to you when you take up a project its important to go through those projects to go through those processes and see what is missing to also understand the psychology of the brand the company the founders the behind creating those processes now this is very important as well and we need to take the data from that particular process and take it forward

Next, Well see  or not going to get a lot of time to create a project depending on the way you are working deadlines can be really  strict so we need to really pace ourselves if depending what the deadline is and work faster. This would only come actually with more and more practice.

Next, a deeper secondary research might be warranted by the industry. In a lot of cases depending on the type of projects that you are doing you might have to go on the internet and search for different sorts of things pertaining to the project of course. You might have to read articles journals you might have to see what other companies are doing what other companies are doing successfully what other companies are doing not so successfully all these data and information actually comes often the internet a lot of you would be going through heat maps a lot of you might be going through the number of clicks that has to  be happened in the particular section of a  website and you might have to designed according to how the consumer behaves or shown as  trending behaviour to that particular website. Lastly the problem statement becomes a very critical point in the industry

Industry is really interested in the solutions.

In order to give them the right solutions you would have to know what exactly the problem is.

These things will change depending where you are working in a smaller studio or agency you might be working on many different projects at the same thing so pacing yourself and making sure that you give enough time but of course not too much to the project and the process is very very important.

I have actually created some of the approaches here which would sort of help you to get an amazing UX job as a UX designer as a UX researcher as UX strategist. These approaches are mine personal approaches so here they are

The first one well it is very very important to actually use to in depth research of we don't do in that research then we will never be able to understand the mission and vision of the business who the user is and why is that particular user is interested in the products and services of that particular business  So connecting the user with the business is a very very important aspect for a UX designer

Next, It is important to look into all the users and not just the ones that fit the profile perfectly. I will take the example of the online ice cream delivery store that I have created. What we have looked at is the right specific user but the company cannot function only looking at the  right specific user you have to broaden your base you will have to look at to make sure that your user from all different works of life so that you can actually expand your range to wide as possible remember the more users you have  the more business you are bringing  to the desk and that becomes the critical expect to the UX researcher.

It is also very important to look at the users' challenges. The users who are specially abled they would not look at the platform like an app or a website or a touch screen like another person would do it is important to make the life comfortable it is important to address their needs as well

This becomes an important part when you are actually doing personal mapping

Next it is also important to understand the problem statement  like I said in the previous slide, if you don't know the problem statement exactly you will never be able to come up with the right solution and every industry is only and only interested in the right solution so make sure that you record all the problem statement from all the feedbacks that you are getting from all the interviews you had taken from all the persona mapping  that you have created and make sure that you know you have all the problem statements in hand which will then give you a chance to come up with the right solution and in turn with the right feature

Next, it is not just important to think about solutions it is also important to record solutions in the entire  UX journey we have realised how to come up with problems but everytime you encounter a problem you need to also think about the possible solutions it is okay to later on find out that certain solutions may not be feasible certain solutions maybe too expensive but it is important to record all possible solutions to a problem

Finally, Practice..Practice.. Practice

Well you can only be a great designer UX researcher when you start practicing it is important to do as many case study as you can the more case studies you do the more businesses you read redesigned from the UX designer perspective the more digital products you  kind of bring on the table the more you will able to understand the small integrities is of these particular industry

Well, Now we are actually done with the course let me remind you that doing your assignments and actually finishing them not just starting with it but taking it till the end is really really important it is not just enough to hear me speak or see the concepts you can only be approve when you actually do it yourself

So make sure that you complete the assignment and the quizzes that are there down below next let me actually talk about the certifications. If you finish dealing with the particular course you are going to get a certificate from NSDC which is the national skill development centre which by the way is a matter of huge importance, So make sure you finish your assignment you finish your quizzes to actually get the certificate.
