The mysql. routines and mysql. parameters tables, which are part of the data dictionary, store stored procedures.
The traffic between the application and the database server is reduced by using stored procedures. Because the application simply needs to communicate the name and parameters of the stored procedure rather than many SQL statements. Stored procedures can be reused and are invisible to other applications. A method is invariably safe.
Stored procedures offer a number of benefits to help you create strong database applications, including improved performance, increased productivity, ease of use, and increased scalability.
To begin, set the default delimiter to $$. Second, to end the stored process, use (;) in the body of the procedure and $$ after the END keyword.
Connect to a SQL Server Database Engine instance in Object Explorer, expand that instance, and then expand Databases. Expand the database you wish to work with, then Programmability, then Stored Procedures. Select Execute Stored Procedure from the context menu of the user-defined stored procedure you want to utilise.
