Events provide a simple observer solution that allows a user to subscribe to and listen to various web application events. In Laravel, all event classes are kept in the app/Events folder, and all listeners are stored in the app/Listeners folder.

Model events are simple hooks into key stages in a model's lifecycle that may be used to simply run code when database entries are saved, changed, or destroyed. Events receive the model instance that is being saved, modified, or removed.

Some of the features of Laravel are: - The CodeIgniter framework was built on top of Laravel's foundation, which means that you can use all the packages from CodeIgniter with Laravel. - It is based on MVC architecture, meaning that it has a controller layer and a model layer. - It uses Composer as its package manager, which makes it easy to manage third party libraries and dependencies. - It has extensive documentation, which explains how to build applications using this framework in detail.

Laravel allows developers to create scalable web applications with a set of tools that make it easy to manage the application's database, debug code, and handle user requests.
