Decimal - BCD Conversions in Ladder Logic

The different types of decimal numbers include integer, fraction, mixed number, and decimal.
Decimals are the numbers that are expressed with a fractional notation such as 1.2 or 0.34371. They are used to represent a real value between two integers such as 1/3 or 10/12

Conversion is the process of changing one type of measurement to another, usually from a physical quantity like pounds to kilograms or meters per second to miles per hour.
When we want to convert from BCD to decimal, there are a few different methods that you may use. The simplest method is by converting the number to its binary form and then multiplying by 10. This is how we would convert BCDE into 10*BCD. For example, if you wanted to convert 3276, you would multiply 3276 by 10 three times giving 362872 which is converted into 362873 decimal. The other method would be converting the number in its respective base and then multiplying it by 10. This is how we would convert BCDE453 into 5*BCD453 giving BCDE94553
