The linspace function creates vectors with a linear spacing. It's comparable to the colon operator ":," except it allows you to control the number of points directly. y = linspace(a,b) produces a 100-point row vector y that is linearly spaced between a and b. n points are generated by y = linspace(a,b,n).
Logarithmically spaced vectors are generated via the logspace function. It's a logarithmic analogue of linspace and the ":" or colon operator, and it's very handy for producing frequency vectors. Between the decades 10a and 10b, y = logspace(a,b) yields a row vector y of 50 logarithmically spaced points.
Make the current figure the figure holding the plot.
Use the gca command to display the current axes in that figure.
Get the coordinates from the Line object's XData and YData properties.
