FAQs

A Creating plenum box is different from the conventional humidifier or heater. It works by creating an artificial environment that reduces humidity, heat and temperature in order to make the HVAC more efficient. This helps the owner save money on electricity bills.

Plenum boxes are commonly found on either side of a fan or heat exchanger, and they play a significant role in air intake, distribution, and removal. They are the air's first and last stops after being heated or cooled, and before returning to your air conditioner, heat pump, or furnace.

A plenum is an air-distribution box that is connected directly to the supply outlet of the HVAC system that heats or cools the air to keep the house comfortable. The plenum is where the ductwork that distributes warm or cooled air to various rooms in the house connects.

  • To calculate the size of a plenum box, you need to know the volume of the space. The volume is calculated by multiplying the length times width times height. For example, a standard 20 feet x 30 feet x 10 feet plenum space is 100 cubic yards.
  • The size of a plenum box can be calculated by multiplying length, width and height. The following formula will calculate a standard 20 feet x 30 feet x 10 feet plenum box:
  • length * width * height = cubic yards
