What is a Point of Sale in Tally Prime

Tally POS is a computerised cash register that sums up the sales total, calculates the balance to be repaid to the customer, and adjusts inventory levels automatically to reflect the quantity sold.

A point of sale (POS) is a location where a consumer pays for goods or services, as well as where sales taxes may be due. A POS transaction can take place in person or online, and receipts can be printed or emailed.

A point of sale purchase or payment occurs when a financial transaction is completed via a POS system at a certain point in time. If you decide to purchase two items and bring them to the checkout counter, the staff will scan the items and issue a receipt.

If you don't have a single mode payment voucher, use the shortcut keys Ctrl + P to get one. F2 or the date button can be used to change the date. Name of the party a/c: Because you can't specify cash in a POS Voucher like you can in a regular sales voucher, enter the party ledger here.
