Tally Prime is the online accounting software from Tally which offers all the functionality of Tally ERP plus some additional features, such as payroll, inventory management and more. The expenses module in Tally Prime is used for recording any expenses that are not related to purchases (e.g., travel and entertainment).
There are two ways to enter expenses in tally prime:
1) Entering Expenses using Transaction Entry Mode: To enter an expense in this mode, follow these steps:
1) Select "Transaction Entry Mode" in the main menu.
2) In the pie chart at the top of the screen, enter your transaction.
3) Click "Submit" to save.
4) From the main menu, select "Enter Expenses".
This will open a new tab in your browser and display any transaction you have submitted in the "Expenses" section.
2) Entering Expenses using Set Up Mode: To enter an expense in this mode, follow these steps:
1) From the main menu, click on "Set Up Mode".
2) In the pie chart at the top of the screen, enter your transaction.
3) Click "Submit" to save.
4) From the main menu, select "Enter Expenses".
This will open a new tab in your browser and display any transaction you have submitted in the "Expenses" section.
