Type conversion is the process of converting data from one type to another in programming. Converting String data to Number, for example.

In JavaScript, there are two types of coercion: Implicit Coercion: JavaScript performs type conversion implicitly. Type conversion is done explicitly in code using built-in functions like Number(), String(), and Boolean(), among others.

When we read a value from a string-based source, such as a text form, but expect a number to be submitted, explicit conversion is frequently required. The start and finish whitespaces are eliminated. The result is 0 if the remaining string is empty. The number is otherwise "read" from the string.
