There are three different types of gate logic in SCADA systems:
manual gates: These are gates that are manually operated by humans to control the flow of materials. They can be opened and closed at will to allow or prevent materials from passing through them.
automatic gates: These are gates that automatically open when they receive a signal from sensors or an operator to allow materials pass through them.
digital gates: These are gates that need digital signals from sensors to open and close for materials to pass through them.
In SCADA, a NAND gate is an electronic circuit that returns a 0 if both inputs are 0 and 1 if either input is 1.
An OR gate is a circuit in which the output will be high (1) only if both inputs are high (1).
The XOR gate is a digital logic device that can be used to check for the presence or absence of a particular bit in a binary number.
A NOR gate output will be one if either its input is zero or its input is one, and it will output zero if both inputs are not equal to each other.
