Description

What Is Word Wrapping And How To Use It In CSS3?

What is word wrap? The word-wrap CSS property specifies the line breaks within the word in order to prevent the overflow when a word is too long to fit within the content area of the element. The word-wrap property allows long words to be able to be broken and wrap onto the next line.

Let’s see an Example of word-wrap working :
<body>
Hello this is font style
<p>this is wordwrap</p>
</body>
Save it and check whether written text is displayed or not. Now go to CSS and define the elements as shown in video :
CSS :
body {font-size: 30px; text-align: center; text-shadow: 0px 0px 5px red;}
p{width: 60px; border: 1px solid green; word-wrap: break-word;}

You can see how we can adjust the words using break-word and word-wrap. This is the specialty of browser that it begins new word in new line after completion of one line and not break it in characters. So in this video, we saw how to do word wrap and apply text shadow to words.
