Javascript BOM - Navigator object

The JavaScript Navigator Object is used to get information about the browser (useragent), such as the browser name, version, and operating system. The read-only property window can be used to access the JavaScript Navigator object, which is a property of the JavaScript Window object.

The navigator object contains browser-related information. The window object has a property called location.

It doesn't matter in any case. Although navigator is a window object property, all window object properties are accessible as global variables. For explicit properties of the window object, I always write window. propertyName as a personal preference.

A BOM is a build order matrix, which is used to specify the sequence of events that need to be executed in order to build a project.

To create a Javascript BOM, you need to check that the following are true:

  • The project is for a web application
  • The project is for a client that does not want to use GitHub or Bitbucket
  • The project is using JavaScript as the programming language
  • You have access to the code base of your app (if it's open source)
  • You have access to the code base of your app (if it's closed source)
  • You have access to a build tool or build system such as Gulp, Webpack, Grunt, and so on
