The orientation attribute of a slider specifies the direction in which the slider moves when dragged. The Slider component's Orientation property can be used to set this property. A slide bar is a graphical representation of a value that changes between two limits. In SCADA, sliders are used to modify values by moving them from left to right or right to left.

It is critical for the controller to understand the direction the system should be facing in order to implement the right control strategy. This can be accomplished by utilizing the orientation properties in scada.
