Scraping is the process of extracting data from a website and repackaging it in a new format. It can also be used to refer to the act of gathering information from a website and saving it on your computer.

There are several ways to begin a Web crawl. The simplest way is to enter a URL into the address bar of your browser and let the engine automatically crawl your chosen website. Alternatively, you can use a tool such as 'curl' or 'lynx'.

Selenium is a web-based automation tool that is open-source. Selenium is mostly used in the business for testing, however it may also be used for web scraping. We'll use Chrome, but you may use any browser; it'll work almost as well.

Scraping data from websites for public consumption and use for analysis is totally lawful. Scraping confidential material for profit, on the other hand, is not legal. Scraping private contact information without authorization and selling it to a third party for profit, for example, is prohibited.
