A class instance is an object. A class is a blueprint or template for the creation of objects. A real-world object is something like a pen, laptop, phone, bed, keyboard, mouse, or chair. A class is a collection of items that are comparable.

In Python, a list is a data structure that is a mutable, or changeable, ordered series of elements. An item is any element or value contained within a list. Lists are defined by values between square brackets [] in the same way that strings are defined by characters between quotations.
