Understanding Navigation Flows

The tiles (now termed "cards") on the Simplified UI home screen can be customised using a navigation flow. You can specify which cards different groups of users see using navigation flows, which can help them navigate through the planning process and the EPBCS product.

A series of user interface controls provide navigation for a website or product, allowing users to construct a mental image of the structures we design and then move through them seamlessly and reliably. The user interface layer on top of the Information Architecture is this set of controls.

A user flow is a procedure or path taken by a hypothetical user to complete a task on a website or app. The user flow guides a user from a starting point via a series of steps to a successful conclusion and end action, such as order completion.

User flow focuses on the micro-level and displays the individual steps users take to achieve their goal, whereas user journey provides a macro perspective of the interactions between users or customers with your organisation from start to finish; key focus.
