A user flow is a procedure or path taken by a hypothetical user to complete a task on a website or app. The user flow guides a user from a starting point via a series of steps to a successful conclusion and end action, such as order completion.

The discipline of navigation design entails inventing, assessing, and implementing methods for users to navigate across a website or app. The way users interact with and use your products is heavily influenced by navigation. It's the least frustrating route for your customer to move from point A to point B, and even point C.

A user experience flowchart lets you visualise the stages a user takes on your site or app to perform a task or achieve a goal (the user flow). Understanding and reflecting on how users navigate your site will help you better meet their demands.

The path travelled by a typical user on a website or app to perform a task is known as user flow. The user flow guides people through a series of actions that lead to a successful conclusion and final action, such as purchasing a product.

Navigation flows help users find the information they are looking for faster and in a better way. They also make your website more user-friendly by giving users an idea of where they can go next.
