Menus in Wordpress
In this video we are going to learn about menus in Wordpress. We can even show our pages as a menu in our blog in Wordpress.
For better understanding to user we create menu for our pages, because user will not directly type the URL of our page and check it.
We can even create sub menu for different pages we include in WordPress.
First of all we will go to our dashboard and click on 'Appearance' section and than select 'Menus' option from it. Here we will be able to create new menu.
So first of all we will give menu a name and then select the pages which we want to add to that menu. And after that save that menu setting.
After that we need to go to Manage locations section in 'menus' only and select the menu which we created as primary menu and then save the changes.
After doing this we will be able to see menu available to our website, with the page we selected. As soon as we click on the page, the content which we added to that particular page will appear in front of our screen.
Every page who is having a parent page will appear below the parent page in the 'Pages' list with a dash in front of it's Title name.
So like this wordpress software is very easy because it directly gives us management of our menus and pages with out any coding.
In the 'Pages' section we will be able to see all the pages which we created and it will also show the the author of that page and with proper date that when this page was published.
In Wordpress we also have facility to change the authors and give access to other people also to manage.
